I think that the majority of Catholics are like me and don’t know enough about their faith and even more still are willing to embrace anything that the church sends their way. (Tangible contamination from other religions and thought practices) I don’t understand cradle Catholics very much. They so willingly accept the crap , but pitch a fit when they are given the truth.

I think about people who are willing to fight and die for their country and I wonder if Catholics would fight or die for their faith. Is it not also a treasure? It sure doesn’t seem like it means very much to many people.

Both parties contain corrupt legislators who care nothing for the working man/women and are ready to present in the House and Senate a new immigration reform bill.

Joe Wilson was right to some degree about no mechanism in the health care package to identify illegal aliens. After the fact and bombarded by livid Americans they added amendments that would cut off all access. That why our legislators need to amplify the verification procedures, to remove foreign nationals from cheating the system.

I trust neither Sen. Harry Reid, House speaker Pelosi and all those who fumble along behind the major conspirators. Harry Reid’s Nevada has hospitals in dire need of funds, because of the massive illegal alien population there. The same with California that’s having release 20.000 prison inmates, because they were on the edge of bankruptcy, owing to indifferent assembly in Sacramento who allowed unfettered benefits to millions of illegal immigrant families feeding out of the waning state money trough.The businesses that draw them here, pay nothing to their living conditions. Certainly I would like a Public option for some family members, but not if illegal aliens can benefit from US taxpayers paying the bill?

Nevertheless, the harm we all do remains among the living, and the bad example of public figures affects far many more than our own personal sins as private persons. This is what I criticize, because no matter what the Senator confessed on his deathbed and received absolution for – his legacy of debauchery, wenching, support for abortion and other ill acts remain as bad example for us all. Their pernicious influence on Catholics and American society remain. And in many ways the clerical cover up of the scandals of the wealthy princes of American society resemble the tolerance extended to the aristocracy, the Kennedys are the Borgias of our time. By taking such a relaxed attitude towards public scandal the Bishops and Cardinals of our fair nation undermine the moral authority of the Church both particularly and universally.

Where is the Bishop who will grow a pair and speak vigorously to the sin and corruption of our Catholic politicians and secular officials?

Ted kennedy – he died of a rare brain cancer – glioblastoma multiforme – a cancer for which there is no cure is almost always fatal and is fatal in 15 months even with surgery, chemo and radiation. This Senator enjoyed the BEST medical care YET he sponsored healh care reform that would limit the care that seniors and people with end stage disease would get – cost control you know. Remember President Obama’s comment to a woman that her mother should have got pain medication instead of heart surgery? Well maybe the same offer should have been made to Ted Kennedy – but it wasn’t! Healthcare for me and not for thee is the picture here – the rich Washington fatcats will get $$$$ poured into their veins until their dying breath while the rest of us poor folk will get pain pills on the cheap.

And then what about Mary Jo Kopechne – the facts are that that woman survived breatheing an air pocket for some hours after Ted Kennedy drove the vehicle into Chappaquiddick Pond in his drunken haze – and then swam away to sober up before contacting the authorities for help. This wanton disregard for life and his public lack of contrition speak volumes about just how morally bankrupt this Senator from Massachussetts was. And yet he got a Catholic funeral – he should have been denied just like Mafioso in New Yoirk have been denied for being sources of public scandal. Did Senator Kennedy ever before his death recant his supporrt of abortion? If not then he should not have been granted a Catholic funeral.

Judge not indeed, but the rules are the rules, except unless the Archdiocese has prostituted itself to families of influence for pecuniary and political gain which appears the case in Boston.
